Enjoy the glories of nature while you can!!
June 19, 2008 at 8:16 pm | In Hunting, Fishing, Traveling and everthing in between! | Leave a CommentI have been so busy that I haven’t had the chance to write anything until now and for that I apologize. I must tell you that my even though it has been a while since i’ve posted anything, that I may be posting even less frequently for a while. I am the type of person who gets out every chance they get, to enjoy the glories of nature. Summer time presents a great opportunity to do this, so I wont be posting much. I would say i’m sorry but the truth is “i’m not!” I don’t mean that in a rude way either. I’m just not sorry for enjoying the outdoors and in my opinion I think everyone should get out more often. There is so much to enjoy that most of the time I don’t even know where to begin. The few months of summer that we get, must be enjoyed to the fullest extent possible. Save the posting for winter when you’re stuck in doors most of the time. Although, now that I think about it, there is plent to do in the winter as well. Just not as much as in the summer!!! So, at this point I would like to say talk to you soon but it may be a while!!
Too much snow, is there such a thing??
June 6, 2008 at 7:01 pm | In Hunting, Fishing, Traveling and everthing in between! | Leave a CommentMontana had a hard winter this year in my opinion. We got a lot of snow and in some aspects that was a good thing but in other aspects it was difficult. We got a lot of mountain snow and now that it is spring time that snow is turning into winter run off, and with it melting so quick our rivers and streams have began flooding in some places. My husband and I like to fish but it is going to be a couple of months before we can do our favorite type of fishing, which is river fishing. The rivers are just so high right now that we can’t fish them. They’re high and they’re very muddy. Not good for fishing. So, fishing is going to have to wait and we don’t have a lot of patience when it comes to fishing. We like to go as soon as spring hits, we don’t like waiting until the summer is half over. So, we’re in a hurry to wait if that makes any sense at all. So waiting to go fishing is hard to do, but on the other hand if we don’t get enough snow we could end up having another bad fire season. And nobody wants to see that!!
Snow Mobiling in the mountains

O.K. so not only did I get to go 4 wheeling for the first time this year, I also got to go snowmobiling. You might ask yourself why I’m thinking about snowmobiling right now. The snow is melted and it’s now time for other things, but for some reason or other when my husband came home from work today he asked me if we should stay at the same cabins this year or try a different one. I told him that we should probably stick with the ones we rented last time because we know where they are, and we now know how to get to the trails right from the cabin. But then I got to thinking. Maybe we should try the other cabins. I don’t know if you’re anything like me but I’m arachnophobic, pretty bad. I can’t bring myself to get near a spider. YUCK!!!!! I’m not one of those freak because I break a nail type of sissy girls either, I just can’t stand spiders. So, this last winter when we went and stayed in the cabin there were spiders everywhere. And I do mean everywhere. The first time I walked into the bathroom there was more than 5 spiders just in that one little room. I don’t even remember how many I counted in the living room or kitchen. Let’s just say that I didn’t get a good night sleep. I was worried all night that spiders were going to get me!!! Before I can make my decision, and yes I have a long time to do so, I plan on calling the cabin renting place and ask them if they will be willing to bug bomb it before I get there. That might sound funny to you but the place is basically dead during mid winter and they’ll do just about anything for business. So we’ll see. If they won’t bomb it for me, we might just have to try the other cabins out. But, we’ve got months to plan it!!
4 Wheeling in the Montana Wilderness
May 20, 2008 at 4:25 pm | In Hunting, Fishing, Traveling and everthing in between! | Leave a CommentWell, my husband and I decided that we had been so busy for the past few weeks that it was time to spend some quality fun time together. He ended up coming up with the idea of going 4 wheeling. This may surprise some people, especially if they know me well, but I have never been on a 4 wheeler before. Our friends who live about an hour from here have been offering to let us come up and ride on their property, but we’ve never taken them up on the offer. Well we did this weekend. We had a lot of fun. We reached their house about noon and off we went. Steve and his wife Michelle rode on one, while my husband and I rode on the other. I haven’t had that much fun in a long time. We were out for hours and I got some great pictures of the lakes we visited. Some parts of the drive were old logging roads so they were fairly relaxing but other parts of the drive were what some would call off-roading. Let’s just say that at one point it turned into white knuckle driving, which is fine because my husband and I are used to it. We go mud bogging and hill climbing all the time in our Chevy. I told my husband that as soon as we can we need to buy a 4 wheeler for driving around our place. He agreed, but now is not the time. I can’t wait until we get one though. As I said before, it’s been a while since I have had that much fun!!!
Mother Movin In!!
May 9, 2008 at 10:32 am | In Hunting, Fishing, Traveling and everthing in between! | 1 CommentO.k. This was an interesting turn of events. My mother-in-law came up for a visit and now she is going to buy and RV and park it on our property. She lives in a town about 185 miles from here or so and she has wanted to move back for quite some time. During her visit we were all sitting on the back porch talking to one another and one topic led to another. Before you know it we were making plans on how to set everything up. Let’s just say it was an interesting development. She left yesterday but plans on being back soon. The first step for her is to buy an RV and I’m sure my husband and I may have to help with that. I know she can afford the payments; I’m just not sure if she has enough for the down. My husband and I have never shopped for an RV before from a dealer. Luckily his sister and her family have.
In fact I wrote a post about it a while ago explaining things. If you would like to read the quick post you can click here if not I’ll give a brief explanation. I explained that my sister-in-law and her family decided that they wanted to do some traveling and after careful consideration it was decided that because of the 3 boys they had that an RV would be the best way to go. They did a lot of research on the internet and finally decided to go with Big Sky RV. (if you are interested in Big Sky RV you can check out their website which is http://www.bigskyrv.com) They ended up choosing a really nice RV, and as quick as they could they were off exploring the world. I got received post cards from the boys during their travels from Stowe VT, Kennebunkport ME, and Brockton MA. They had a blast. They are home now, but I’m sure that their parents have already planned their next adventure.
So, as soon as my mother in law gets back here we will probably head down to see my sister-in-law and her husband. At that point we can all travel to the dealership together and hopefully choose an RV that will work great for my mother-in-law.
Dogs 2!!
May 1, 2008 at 12:02 pm | In Hunting, Fishing, Traveling and everthing in between! | Leave a CommentI finally have some time so I decided to write something real quick. I wrote a post a while ago that said my dog has been having a lot of seizures, he has epilepsy. He’s had it for a while now that we’ve known about but the seizures aren’t normally this numerous, or close together. So we took him into the vet to see if we could figure out what’s going on. He’s fine now. The seizures stopped. I don’t know what was causing them to come so close together, but let me tell you it was scary. The vet said he should be fine; it’s not even bad enough to start giving him medication yet. If it gets to the point where he needs medication then I’ll be really worried. At this point I’m just doing my best to keep him calm, but entertained. I don’t want him getting board and losing his mind. Then I’d really be in trouble…
Dogs!!
April 21, 2008 at 12:58 pm | In Hunting, Fishing, Traveling and everthing in between! | Leave a CommentI’m sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while. My dog has been having a lot of seizures in the last couple days, so I haven’t been leaving his side. I’ve been busy babying him. I’m sure he’ll be fine. I already talked to his vet and have been told what to do, so we’ll be busy for a day or two trying to find out why the seizures are so numerous right now. I’ll post more later!!
A Companies Image
April 19, 2008 at 10:41 am | In Hunting, Fishing, Traveling and everthing in between! | 3 CommentsO.K. so check this out. My friend Amber is here and we have been doing some research on company logos. She manages a small restaurant in town and she and the owner have been talking about doing a remodel. The owner doesn’t just want to move the tables around; she wants to remodel the whole thing. Some people may say this could be dangerous. Changing the name, logo, and look of the building may cause clients to leave. She doesn’t believe the customers will leave because she plans on talking with the customers about it for a few months so that none of them are caught off guard. When Amber and the owner sat down at their last meeting, the owner explained that she wasn’t going to have a company logo because she didn’t feel as though it was important. That is when Amber decided to come here so that we could check it out. We needed to know if it is important to have a company logo, our guts told us that it is. So, while looking around we read through some great articles written by people who have had personal experience with this, people in the business world who know what they’re talking about. Here is one short article that we found that explains everything. Click here if you would like to read it!! The article even gave us the name of a website we could visit to look at some company logo, and that website is http://www.pixellogo.com. Amber and I took a quick peek at that website and found a few simple logos that the owner could use for the restaurant. She plans on having the owner go to that website and look around; hopefully if the owner reads that article I suggested and also visits the website with the logos on it, we will be able to change her mind. In my heart I really think that not having a company logo is a big mistake!!
Dirt Bike Accident 2
April 15, 2008 at 11:33 am | In Hunting, Fishing, Traveling and everthing in between! | 5 CommentsWell, it appears that my sister’s husband is going to be alright. They kept him in ICU over night, did a CAT scan the next morning to make sure the swelling in his brain wasn’t really bad, did a few more tests, and sent him home. He isn’t going to be able to work for a while, but he’ll just have to deal with it.
I feel sorry for my sister. Not only does she have 3 young kids, and a teenager to look after, now she has a bed stricken husband to tend to. That has to be difficult. I spoke with her on the phone this morning and she said Daniel is being a big whiney baby. (she was joking about it) She said all he does is whine about the fact that they ruined his wedding ring, and now he’s going to have all these ugly scars. After hearing that, I really believe that he is going to be fine. If he is complaining about stuff like that, then trust me when I say that he is back to his normal self!! My sister has been trying to get him to shut up and stop complaining about it, only because there is nothing they can do about it right now. I’m sure they’ll get everything figured out when he gets better, and hopefully they sell the dirt bike so this doesn’t happen again!!!
